Contacting Me
I hate those voice mail messages that say "your call is important to me." In fact, however, your call is important to me.
Until recently this page had a blurb about how really easy it was to get a hold of me either by phone or by email. Since the recent economic downturn, that hasn't always been true. It has always been my goal to return all my calls and answer my emails before the end of each day, but it's getting so that many days I really can't do that. I have even had a few days where my voice mail box has filled up so that it was impossible to even leave a message.
Part of the problem is that besides calls from existing or potential clients - who I really do want to talk with - I'm getting multiple calls from creditors and bill collectors. The bill collectors are calling me because I have I instructed my clients to tell them that they have retained a lawyer to do a bankruptcy, and for further information the creditor should call their lawyer - namely me. This tends to make my clients' phones stop ringing, but it has the opposite effect on my phone here at the office.
So if I don't answer the phone right away, please leave me a message. If I don't respond to your message right away, please call me again and keep trying until we actually do connect. Unless you are one of my client's creditors, I really do want to talk with you.
